The Ladder to study PR

Hello everyone here are some steps to consider when you studying Public relations, hope this will be a lot of help to you all

1. Is Public Relations for you?
We all have different dreams as we grow up and there comes a time in life where you start to know and be clear with what you want to do as in, what you want to study and preference of work. As an individual you should be able to identify your strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. That way you will be able to know if you are in the right field of study or not, the only way find out is know yourself and what you want. please learn more on www.greenbanana.wordpress.com/2010/08/27

2. Are you a good Communicator?
As a public relations practitioner, you will be doing a lot of talking for example your media conferences or radio interviews. When studying, you must be an excellent communicator, you see when you’re able to communicate effectively let’s say with your external stakeholders, as a practitioner it is your duty to build their image by talking for them so by doing that, you give your company or brand credit and good publicity. Communication in PR is essential and should be your one of your strengths as a PR student, if not then Public Relations isn't for you. want to know more please visit this webpage www.prnewsonline.com

3. Good writing communication skills
A Public Relations Practitioner as we know among other duties like talking in media conferences, writing will be one of those duties. Public Relations Practitioners do a lot of writing, E.g. newsletters, blogging , to name but a few and as you are still studying PR, make sure if you know that you are not a good writer yet, find time to write about anything you can think of, research about stories as you all know what they say “Practice makes perfect. See more http://marketing.about.com/od/pr_writing/

4. Do u cope well under pressure?
Now this is a part that I personally feel is important as a Public Relations student to know. PR is a lot of work, the ability to work under pressure and to multitask is important. Most PR practitioners are or should be flexible in way and so should you’ yes you’re still students but all these aspects must be identified by you before entering the corporate world or even before getting a job.

5. Establish what your expectations of PR are

What would you expect as a PR practitioner? You see as a student studying PR, there are a lot of questions that I’m certain that you ask yourself because PR is not just about being glamorous, and attending non-stop events but rather, it also involves hard work and dedication an also challenging as time goes on.  www.prsageorgia.org
